Local Fundraising Efforts Help Boost New Ag/Industrial Tech Building

Thanks to some generous business and individuals, New Hampton Community Schools will build a larger vocational agriculture and industrial technology center.  New Hampton FFA Adviser Jim Russ says this is an integral part for the school, community and students.

The FFA Alumni has gathered nearly $260,000 worth of donations for the addition.  ATEK Metal Technologies, Northeast Iowa Community College, Bank Iowa and AgVantage FS/GrowMark Foundation have all contributed to the total.  The addition will consist of a classroom, welding areas, and metal working. The addition is scheduled to be operation in May of 2019.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
