Iowa Select Farms Set To ‘Haul Out Hunger’

Charles City, Iowa- One in eight Iowans and one in five children don’t know where their next meal will come from according to the Food Bank of Iowa.  Iowa Select Farms and the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation is helping fix this.  Between June 18th and July 2nd, the organizations will fill fridges and freezers of local food pantries with 60 thousand fresh pounds of boneless pork loins.

Allyson Ladd of Iowa Select Farms says since 2006 the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation have helped curb the hunger of Iowans.

“Hauls Out Hunger” will be at the Jordan River Messiah Food Bank around lunchtime on Monday, June 25th.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
