The New Hampton Chickasaw baseball team was in Clear Lake last night for a non-conference game against the Lions.  The Chickasaws were able to pick up their second win of the season as they won the game by a final score of 8-4.  Max Babcock pitched three and a third innings and was able to earn the win.  The New Hampton baseball team is now 2-0 on the season and they will be back in action tonight at home against Saint Ansgar.

The Nashua-Plainfield baseball team was able to win their season opener last night as they defeated West Hancock at home 11-1 in five innings.  The Huskies scored one run in the second, four runs in the third and three runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings to successfully apply the mercy rule.  The Nashua baseball team is now 1-0 on the season and they will have their first Top of Iowa Conference game tomorrow night at West Fork.

The Turkey Valley Trojan baseball team opened up their Upper Iowa Conference schedule last night on the road at MFL-Mar-Mac.  The Trojans were overmatched in the game and were defeated 15-0 in four innings.  The Trojan baseball team is now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.  They will look for that first win of the season on Saturday at New Hampton.

The Turkey Valley Trojan softball team had their home opener moved to Charles City last night.  The Turkey Valley girls fell on the losing end of a 12-0 score in three innings.  The Trojan softball team begins their season at 0-1 and they will play again next Wednesday at home against North Fayette Valley.

The New Hampton Chickasaw softball team will begin Northeast Iowa Conference play tonight with a double header at Decorah.  This will be the first games of the season for New Hampton as they had their game on Monday postponed while Decorah comes in at 0-1.  You can tune into both games tonight right here on 951 The Bull beginning with a pregame at 5:15 and first pitch of the first game will be at 5:30.
