Failure to yield crash results in over $15,000 in damages

Charles City, Iowa – Officers with the Charles City Police Department responded to a collision on Wednesday at 11:11am.

The accident report states that a 2012 Ford truck, driven by 50-year-old Dara Jaeger of Charles City, was traveling eastbound on 15th Avenue when she collided with a 2008 Dodge truck, driven by 59-year-old Steven Peter of Cresco, who was traveling northbound on D Street.

No injuries were reported.

Estimated damages between both vehicles was $15,000 with around $500 damage to a storm sewer intake and a street sign.

Jaeger was cited for failure to yield to the vehicle on the right at an uncontrolled intersection.
