Over 450K Kidde smoke alarms being recalled

Mebane, NC. – First it was fire extinguishers, now it’s smoke alarms.

More then 450,000 Kidde smoke alarms are being recalled after it was discovered that a yellow cap that was left on during manufacturing can cover one of the smoke sensors inside the unit, not allowing the alarm to detect smoke.

The recalled models are PI2010 and PI8010.
