Update: Osage man who assaulted man with knife gets 90 days in jail

Osage, Iowa – An Osage man who assaulted a man with a knife in October has been sentenced to 90 days in jail.

29-year-old Daniel Robert Warner was convicted of assault while carrying a deadly weapon.

A criminal complaint alleges that Warner assaulted another man and pinned the victim to the floor at his Osage home. Warner then held the knife to the victim’s throat. He suffered a fractured jaw along with cuts and bruises on other parts of his head.

Warner was sentenced to 180 in jail with 90 days suspended. He must undergo a mental health evaluation and was also given a suspended $625 fine.
