Charles City, IA – The Floyd County Medical Center had recently requested financial support from Floyd County. A good majority of county hospitals in Iowa do receive assistance from their counties, but Floyd County has decided to deny this request.
Rod Nordeng, FCMC’s administrator, says how this process has worked.
Nordeng says how much other county hospitals receive on average.
FCMC has received some support before, but it has been over 15 years since that last happened.
The hospital had good financial years in 2015 and 2016, but 2017 was a different story. The hospital was requesting around $100,000.
