Long List of Drug Charges for Cresco Man

Cresco, IA – A man who already had two OWIs on his record received another one and more charges after a traffic stop earlier this month.

27-year-old Lester Erickson III of Cresco was arrested on Feb. 2 after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs. He had been pulled over for speeding, but he was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license and some arrest warrants.

A Cresco Police Officer found four grams of methamphetamine, 5.2 grams of marijuana and a two-sided bayonet in his car. More meth would be found later.

Erickson has been charged with OWIs in 2009 and 2013, but is now facing possession with intent to deliver meth, a drug tax stamp violation, possession of marijuana, carrying weapons, OWI and possession of contraband in a jail charges.

Erickson has not yet entered a plea.
