Erratic Driving Lands Man in Jail

Fayette County, IA – The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man near the Chickasaw County line late on Tuesday night.

Authorities received a call of a Jeep driving erratically. Deputies tried to pull over the vehicle, but the driver didn’t do so immediately. He eventually would pull over. 22-year-old Daniel Cullen Jr. of West Union was the driver. He was intoxicated and had a firearm on him.

Cullen Jr. has been charged with operating while intoxicated, eluding a law enforcement vehicle, driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway, open container and carrying weapons.

He was pulled over on Highway 18 in Fayette County.
