951 The Bull Sports Report (1/19)

In a match heard right here on 951 The Bull last night, the New Hampton Chickasaw wrestling team was in Decorah for a Northeast Iowa Conference match against the Vikings.  The Chickasaw grapplers were once again dominant as they were able to knock of Decorah 58-18.  New Hampton’s wrestling team is now 24-3 overall and dual meets and they complete their NEIC season undefeated at 6-0.  The Chickasaw wrestlers will split their team up tomorrow and compete in two different tournaments as they are scheduled to wrestle in Ankeny and Riceville.

The Nashua-Plainfield girls and boys basketball teams will be in Manly tonight for a Top of Iowa Conference double-header against Central Springs.  The Nashua girls come in with a 2-13 overall record and they are 1-10 in the conference while the Panther girls are 11-3 and 8-3.  The Husky boys are 7-7 overall and their conference record is 5-6 while the Central Springs boys sit at 0-14 and 0-11.  The girls game will be played first and begin at about 6:15 and the boys game will follow.

The Turkey Valley Trojan girls and boys basketball teams will be on the road tonight for their Upper Iowa Conference games against West Central Maynard.  The Trojan girls are 9-7 overall this season and they are 8-3 in conference games while the Turkey Valley boys are 11-2 and 11-0.  The girls game will be played first and get started at about 6:15 and the boys game will begin at around 7:30.

The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougar girls and boys basketball teams will host Denver tonight in a North Iowa Cedar League double-header.  The Sumner-Fred girls are 10-2 overall this season and they are 9-2 in the NICL while the Denver girls come in at 5-9 and 2-8.  The Cougar boys are 0-11 overall this season and their conference record is 0-10 while the Cyclone boys are 6-8 and 4-7.  The girls game will tip first at around 6:15 and the boys game will follow.
