St. Ansgar, Iowa – A Saint Ansgar woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Mitchell county at 1:40 Saturday morning.

The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Hannah Nicole Pfeifer was traveling east on Highway 105 in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado when she went off the road near the intersection with Grain Millers Drive near St. Ansgar and hit a tree.

Pfeifer was the only person in the vehicle and she was pronounced dead.
