New Deputies Protect the Roads in Mitchell County

Mitchell County, IA – A new sheriff’s deputy will be protecting the roadways in Mitchell County. The Mitchell County Board of Supervisors approved of this at their last meeting.

36-year-old Justin Trees will be joining the Sheriff’s Office. He will be replacing Jerry Jensen who is retiring after being with the Sheriff’s Office for 16 years. Trees has worked for the Osage Police Department since August of last year.

Another new deputy will be coming to Mitchell County early on next year. Jeff Huftalin, current deputy, is retiring at the end of December. He has been with the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office for 18 years.
