The Turkey Valley Trojan girls basketball team opened up their season last night with a non-conference home game against Decorah.  The Trojans were able to walk away with a 50-41 victory to begin their season at 1-0.  They will be in action again tonight as they will host West Central Manard in Upper Iowa Conference action.  Their game tonight will be part of a girl/boy double-header with the girls game scheduled to start at 6:15 and the boys game will follow.

The New Hampton Chickasaw wrestling team will open up their season tonight with a home meet against Independence and Charles City.  The night will get started with a match between the Comets and Mustangs at 5pm.  The Chickasaws will then square off against Independence and then take on Charles City in the final dual of the night.  You can tune into both matches right here on 951 The Bull starting with a pre-meet at about 6pm and the first match will be around 6:15.

The Nashua-Plainfield Husky girls and boys basketball teams will be in Rockford tonight for a Top of Iowa Conference double-header.  The Nashua and Rockford girls are both 0-1 this season and it will be the first conference action for both teams.  This will be the first game of the season for the Husky boys and the Warrior boys are 1-0 this season so far.  The girls game will tip-off first at around 6:15 and the boys game will follow.

The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougar girls basketball team will play a North Iowa Cedar League game tonight on the road at Dike-New Hartford.  The Cougar girls are 1-0 overall this season and this will be their first conference action of the year and the Wolverines are 0-1 overall and have yet to play a conference game as well.  Tip-off for this game will be at about 7:30.

The South Winneshiek Warrior boys basketball team will get their season underway tonight when they welcome in Postville for an Upper Iowa Conference game.  This will be the first game for Postville as well and they will tip-off from Calmar at around 7:30.
