Nashua mom, daughter lose home and pets in fire

Nashua, Iowa – A Nashua family lost their home and their pets in a fire on Friday night.

The Nashua Fire Department was called to their home on Park Street at around 7:30pm.

Carrie Fisher and her daughter were not home at the time of the blaze.

Authorities say two dogs and two cats were lost in the fire.

Fire officials are still working to determine the cause of the blaze, but it appears the fire began near the kitchen.

A savings account was set up at First State Bank in Nashua and a GoFundMe page was also created.
