Charles City, IA – Simply Essentials opened their doors in Charles City about a year ago. That didn’t last long as the business announced the other day that they have been sold.

Pitman Family Farms purchased the chicken processing plant. This company is based out of Fresno, California. Dennis Krause, CEO of Simply Essentials, says that this is a good thing for his business.

Simply Essentials currently employs 250 employees at the plant. Krause says that that number will not be affected. He added that the business is in a “high-growth mode”.

Pitman Family Farms has been in business for over 60 years and their products are sold nationally. Krause will remain the CEO of the Charles City production.
