Chickasaw County, IA – Chickasaw County has come under some heat after the state auditor, Mary Mosiman, released a re-audit report on Thursday.
The county government had paid for some bills that should not have been paid for by them. The report says that payments were made that were not for the public’s purpose that totaled up to $1,600.
A county employee or an elected official in Chickasaw County had tipped off the Auditor’s Office. No identity was released.
Not all of the purchases made on credit cards had proper receipts, and proper documentation was not used by the county. These expenses were from Emergency Management Commission, Conservation Board and Veteran Affairs Commission.

- Vacation day used by former Emergency Management coordinator
- $202 for 15 hours worked at Veteran Affairs Commission following resignation
