Nora Springs, IA – A Nora Springs man who had appealed his prison sentence has lost his appeal.

31-year-old Aron Bierl was arrested in March of 2016 after authorities discovered two guns during the search. He had pled guilty to possession of a firearm by a domestic violence offender.

Two firearms and ammunition were found. Bierl was sentenced to five years in prison, but he has since tried to appeal that decision. The judge said that he did not take responsibility for his actions while the Bierl states his conviction was not appropriate.
