Assault Charges for Osage Man

Osage, IA – An Osage man is now facing a felony charge after assaulting a man on Friday.

29-year-old Daniel Warner of Osage allegedly assaulted a man in the 1700 block of Main St. Warner is being accused of holding the victim to the floor causing injury to him, and holding a knife to the throat of the victim. He also raised the knife like he was going to stab him. The victim’s wife and daughter grabbed Warner’s arm. Bystanders then pulled him off of the victim.

Warner is now facing charges with assault causing serious injury, which is a class “D” felony, and assault with a dangerous weapon, which is an aggravated misdemeanor.

He is currently being held on a $5,000 cash bond in the Mitchell County Jail.
