Summer sports are the main activities amongst children during the summer, but starting this weekend, the Floyd County Museum will have activities for kids.
The museum will be holding their Kid’s Day this weekend. The theme is Halloween as the calendar has turned the page to October. Kids will make skeletons, have a scavenger hunt and will have a popcorn treat to wrap up the morning.
The activities start at 9:30 a.m. and run until 11 a.m. Registration will be open until Oct. 6, and to do that, call 228-1099. Mary Ann Townsend, director of the Floyd County Museum, says that there are programs that run through March.
First through third graders are invited to join. Townsend adds more about the day.
There is a small admission fee of $2 for the crafts that will be used on this day.
