951 The Bull Sports Report (8/30)

The New Hampton Chickasaw volleyball team picked up a couple of non conference wins last night at home.  New Hampton swept Kee High two games to none by scores of 25-14 and 25-11 and then beat Turkey Valley two games to none by scores of 25-9 and 25-7.  The Chickasaw volleyball team is now 4-0 overall this season and their next action will be on Saturday when they host a tournament.

The New Hampton Chickasaw girls and boys cross country teams kicked off their season last night with a meet hosted by Mason City Newman which was held on the campus of Mercy Medical Center.  In the girls race, the Chickasaws finished in third as a team with 101 points.  Leading the way for the New Hampton girls was Olivia Burke who finished in eighth place, Sadie Tenge finished 15th, Hannau Heit was 19th, Lydia Gessner was 24th and Celena Quirk rounded out the scoring for New Hampton with a 48th place finish.  In the boys race, the Chickasaws were 11th with 270 team points.  Nolan Usher was the top finisher for New Hampton’s boys as he came in eighth.  The Chickasaw cross country runners will have their next race next Tuesday in Waverly.
