Nora Springs Restaurant Helping Employee Who Was in Car Crash

Nora Springs, Iowa – A Mason City woman was involved in a car crash on Friday night where she hit her head. Now a restaurant in Nora Springs is donating some of their profit to her.

Maria Maroud failed to stop at a stop sign and took too wide of a turn which caused the wreck. The accident is still under investigation but Maroud’s employer is helping her out.

GG’s Place, where she works, is donating a portion of their sales to her and will be taking donations through Saturday to help her. The business has already raised a few hundred dollars.

Investigators are still waiting on lab results to come back and no charges have been filed at this time.
