Charles City, Iowa – The ISU Extension Office in Charles City is putting on a three part series to teach people who are in the childcare profession how to save for retirement.
Brenda Schmitt, Family Finance Field Specialist with the ISU Extension, says that the goal of this is to create financial security for people in his profession. She also says that by doing this, childcare workers will be able to concentrate more on work and provide stability to children that they care for.
The first step in a three part series is August 21 at the ISU Extension in Charles City from 6-8 pm.
This meeting will help teach professionals strategies on how to save whether you are an employee or self-employed, how small amounts can build a valuable nest egg, and find out how much to save to reach your retirement goals.
