Inmate died in Bremer Jail from hanging

Waverly, Iowa – An inmate at the Bremer County Jail who was found unconscious in his cell on March 20th committed suicide, according to the Iowa State Medical Examiner.

27-year-old Daniel Alan Wildman, formerly of Cresco, was pronounced dead at a Waverly hospital after he was found in his cell.

An autopsy was performed on March 23rd determined his death was suicide by hanging however further details were not released.

Wildman had been detained at the jail while he was waiting to be returned to federal prison after violating the terms of his supervised release following an earlier prison stay for firearms charges.
