Charles City RAGBRAI discussions in full swing; volunteer opportunities available

Charles City, Iowa – Discussions for RAGBRAI are in full swing now that the advisory board has been named.

City Administrator Steve Diers says the advisory board is working hard to recruit more volunteers .

The next RAGBRAI meeting will be held in two weeks.

Diers also gave an update on the local fiber/broadband project. Diers said based on a survey conducted, the City Council has been asked to proceed with the second part of the feasibility study.

Diers said that while the Victory Park sculpture project was delayed, the project will come to fruition this spring and a dedication for the sculpture will take place toward the end of June.

Diers also said anyone interested in volunteering for RAGBRAI should contact Ginger Williams at the Charles City Chamber Office by calling (641) 228-4234.
