Plainfield, Iowa – The Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the remains found near Plainfield in October as Cloris Mehmen.

She disappeared in July. She suffered from Alzheimer’s. Her family believes she wandered away.

Hundreds of volunteers joined law enforcement searching for her.

The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office says her remains were found by farmers on October 19th.

Authorities told KWWL-TV that the autopsy results were inconclusive. They haven’t been able to determine how she died.
