The New Hampton Chickasaw girls basketball team will host Charles City tonight in Northeast Iowa Conference action tonight.  The Chickasaw girls are 3-1 overall this season and 1-0 in NIEC play while Charles City comes in at 0-3 and this will be their first conference game of the season.  You can tune into this game right here on 951 The Bull starting with a pregame at about 7:30 and tip-off will be around 7:45.

The Nashua-Plainfield Husky girls and boys basketball teams will host Mason City Newman tonight in Top of Iowa Conference play.  Nashua’s girls are 0-4 overall this season and come in with an 0-2 conference record.  Newman’s girls are 2-2 and 1-1.  The Nashua boys are 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference while the Knight boys are 2-1 and 1-1.  The girls will tip-off at about 6:15 with the boys game to follow.

The Turkey Valley Trojan girls and boys basketball teams will play in an Upper Iowa Conference double-header tonight at home against Starmont.  The Trojan girls are 3-0 overall this season and come in with a conference record of 2-0 while the Starmont girls are 2-1 and 1-1.  The Turkey Valley boys are 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the UIC and Starmont’s boys come in at 1-2 and 0-2.  Tip-off for the girls game will be at about 6:15 with the boys game to follow.

The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougar girls and boys basketball teams will host Wapsie Valley tonight in North Iowa Cedar League play.  Sumner-Fred’s girls come in with an overall record of 3-1 overall and they are 2-1 in the NICL while the Wapsie Valley girls are 1-2 and 0-2.  The Cougar boys are 0-1 at this point in the season while Wapsie’s boys are also 0-1.  The girls game is set to tip-off at about 6:15 and the boys game will be immediately following.

The South Winneshiek Warrior girls and boys basketball teams will be on the road tonight for an Upper Iowa Conference meeting with North Fayette Valley.  South Winn’s girls come in at 0-2 overall and they are 0-1 in Upper Iowa Conference play while North Fayette’s girls are 1-2 and 0-2.  The Warrior boys are 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference while the Tiger-Hawk boys are 0-3 and 0-2.  Tip-off for the girls game will be at about 6:15 with the boys game to follow.

In a game heard right here on 951 The Bull last night, the Iowa Hawkeye Men’s Basketball team had their way with Stetson in non-conference play at Carver Hawkeye Arena.  The Hawks won the game 95-68 to improve to 4-5 this season.  Iowa will host Iowa State on Thursday for their next game.
