The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union continued its volleyball postseason last night with Classes 1A and 2A holding their Quarterfinal Round.  The Turkey Valley Trojan volleyball team was in Tripoli last night for their Class 1A Region 6 Quarterfinal.  The Trojans were defeated by sixth-ranked Tripoli in straight sets by scores of 25-20, 25-14 and 25-11.  The Trojans finish their season with a record of 9-22 while Tripoli advances to take on Dunkerton at home on Thursday night.

The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougar volleyball team hosted Maquoketa Valley last night in a Class 2A Region 7 Quarterfinal.  The third-ranked Cougars dominated the match as they won three games to none by scores of 25-6, 25-8 and 25-14.  Jadlin Seehase had eleven kills to lead Sumner-Fred, Jenna Brandt had 32 assists and Hillary Oberbroeckling went 19-20 serving with six aces.  The Cougars improve to 31-5 on the season and they will host Bellevue on Thursday night in the Regional Semifinals.

The South Winneshiek Warrior volleyball team was able to advance to the Class 2A Region 6 Semifinals after their three games to none win over MFL-Mar-Mac.  The Warriors won by scores of 25-16, 25-19 and 25-17.  Amber Brincks had ten kills to lead the Warriors and, as a team, South Winn had 16 ace serves.  The Warriors are now 16-22 this season and they will be at Lake Mills for the Semifinal round on Thursday.

Classes 3A and 4A will have their Regional Semifinal round tonight.  The New Hampton Chickasaw volleyball team will be on the road for their Class 3A Region 6 Semifinal against Osage.  The Chickasaws are 28-10 overall this season and the Green Devils are 21-11 and ranked 14th in Class 3A.  You can tune into this match right here on 951 The Bull starting with a pregame at 6:45 and first serve is set for 7pm.

The North Fayette Valley Tiger-Hawk volleyball team will also participate in a Class 3A Region 6 Semifinal tonight.  The Tiger-Hawks will be in Manchester to take on the third-ranked Hawks.  North Fayette Valley volleyball is 20-14 overall this season while West Delaware comes in at 41-4.  First serve for this match will also be at 7pm.
