Cedar Rapids man charged with luring teen over Internet

West Union, Iowa – A Cedar Rapids man is facing sex abuse charges after an investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

25 year old Niall Sean Lewis was charged with third-degree sex abuse, a class D felony. According to a release, Niall lured a 14 year old female he had met online over the summer to various locations and performed a sex act upon her.

The investigation led investigators as far as Cedar Rapids where evidence was collected and turned over to the Cedar Rapids Police for further investigation.

The case remains open and more charged could be filed in the future.
