Spookwalk To Be Held This Afternoon; Other Halloween Events Across Area

Charles City, Iowa – The annual Spook Walk, sponsored by Charles City Community Revitalization, will be held on the Recreational Trail behind the Charles City library from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m this evening.

The theme is “Family Movie Night.” Area businesses will be on hand with fun and spooky displays, as well as offering treat to kids ages 12 and under. The event is free of charge.

Another area Halloween event will take place both this weekend and the following in the building east of Shucky’s in Alta Vista.

The Alta Vista Fire Department is sponsoring a haunted house, that will be open on Friday and Saturday, October 21st and 22nd, as well as October 28th and 29th, from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. Cost is $5.00 with proceeds donated to the Alta Vista Fire Department.

In New Hampton, a Halloween parade will take place on Main Street in New Hampton beginning at 10:30 a.m. Line-up will begin at the New Hampton Community Center. Following the parade, children are invited to trick or treat in various businesses throughout New Hampton. Trick or Treat in New Hampton will also be held on October 31st, from dusk until 8 p.m.

Trick or Treat in Charles City will be held on Monday, October 31st from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
