Burglary Charges For Fredericksburg Man, Two Others

Manchester, Iowa – Three people have been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries over the summer in Manchester.

27 year old Christopher Lee Verlon White of Fredericksburg was arrested and charged with 2 counts of third-degree burglary, 48 year old Charles Ray Montes of Elkader was charged with 2 counts of third-degree burglary and one count of attempted third-degree burglary and 44 year old Lucynda Jo Manternach of Cedar Rapids was charged with attempted third-degree burglary.

Authorities say the first burglary was reported July 24 at Unlimited Services on East Main Street, and the second came the following week on July 31 when someone entered the Fish Shack on East Delaware Street. The 3rd burglary was reported at the Super Car Wash on August 3rd.

Police said White and Montes were responsible for breaking into Unlimited Services and The Fish Shack, and Montes and Manternach were responsible for the attempted burglary at the Super Wash.
