Local Spring Sports Schedule (4/9)

If Mother Nature permits, there will be some spring activities in our area tonight.  The New Hampton girls golf team will host Clear Lake today at the New Hampton Country Club.  The meet is scheduled to begin at 4pm. The Nashua Plainfield and North Butler boys and girls golf teams will head to Sheffield tonight

Local spring sports are underway and the weather was cooperative enough last night to get in some track and golf.  The New Hampton Chickasaw boys track team was in Decorah last night for a meet with the Vikings, South Winneshiek, Charles City, and Waukon.  The Chickasaws ended up in second place with 63 team points

The New Hampton Chickasaw girls and boys track teams will compete in the Northeast Iowa Conference Indoor track meet today at Wartburg College.  The meet time is set for 5pm and all the NEIC teams, Crestwood, Decorah, Oelwein, Waverly-Shell Rock, Waukon, and Charles City will be represented. Local Hoopsters Earn All-Conference Honors (3/5)

The Northeast Iowa Conference recently released its All-Conference teams for both boys and girls.  Five New Hampton Chickasaw boys earned All-Conference honors, with Anthony Sweitzer and Tucker Tenge earning a First Team nods.  Sweitzer was the floor general for this year’s Chickasaw squad and he led the conference by averaging six assists per game.  Tenge
