District Baseball Selections Announced (7/28)

The Iowa Baseball Coaches Association released its All-District Selections over the weekend and numerous area athletes were recognized.  New Hampton was able to land four players on the Class 2A Northeast District Teams.  Trevor Ambrose was selected to the First Team as a pitcher as they junior went 7-2 with a 1.84 earned run average

The New Hampton Chickasaw baseball team was in Charles City on Friday night for a Northeast Iowa Conference double header.  The Chickasaws dropped the first game 2-1 spoiling a great pitching performance by Trevor Ambrose.  Ambrose went six innings and gave up five hits and struck out four.  New Hampton would come back and dominate
