After last night’s mask proclamation, Charles City YMCA makes a couple changes

Last night Gov. Kim Reynolds held a press conference to unveil her limited mask mandate for the state of Iowa.

The basics of the proclamation were:

  • Reynolds requires everyone 2 or older to wear masks when in public, indoor spaces within 6 feet of others who aren’t member of their households for 15 minutes
  • She also limited many indoor gatherings to no more than 15 people and outdoor gatherings to 30, including family get-togethers

The proclamation went on to focus on specific businesses types – and now businesses all over Iowa are shifting their models to fit the system.

For example the YMCA in Charles City is now requiring that patrons wear their masks when entering the building.

The YMCA is also requiring that patrons keep their workouts to themselves until at least December 11th.

Reynolds limited mask mandate covers restaurants, bars, and sport events in more detail. For this information go to our websites homepage.
