Spike in Mitchell County virus cases forces Osage drama department to cancel weekend performances

Between November 2nd and the 9th, Mitchell County added 164 new COVID-19 cases to their grand total – pushing it to 495. This was capped off with a day that revealed 40 news cases of the virus on November 9th – which is the most cases in one day since the pandemic began.

And this is all happening days before the Osage High School Drama Department is tabbed to put on their Fall performance of ‘Mary Poppins’. The district took notice and is making some changes to the upcoming performances.

“As we have seen a dramatic increase in COVID-19 cases within our community throughout the past several days, the Osage Community Schools and drama department will be making adjustments to the performance schedule for Mary Poppins this weekend.”

  • 7:00 pm Thursday, November 12 – Parents only last name A – L (MASKS REQUIRED)
  • 7:00 pm Friday, November 13 – Parents only M – Z (MASKS REQUIRED)
  • Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15 – Live performances have been cancelled
