Osage volleyball set to play in 3A State Championship today; school could have two state champions in one year

Yes, the Osage Greendevils are again in a state championship – this time for volleyball. Today at 3 p.m., the Greendevils will play the returning champions No. 3 Mount Vernon for the 3A State Championship.

Superintendent and Color Commentator for Osage Barb Schwamman is pumped:

In the semi-final match, the Greendevils played the No. 4 Davenport Assumption squad and it was tightly contested with Osage needing huge comebacks to win both the second and third sets. However, after dropping the first set, Osage won three straight to win the match.

And if Osage wins this coming match today, it will be the second state champion for Osage in a calendar year – as Osage wrestling was 2A State Champions.

Listen to Sports Director Nolan Peters and Barb Schwamman call the game live on our sister station 98.7 KISS Country at: https://987kisscountry.com/sports/osage-green-devils/.
