Charles City City Hall is closed to the public; Mayor says to call or go online

Charles City City Hall is closed to the public. Mayor Dean Andrews wants to reassure the locals that each department held within the hall will be still working and available for phone calls at 641-257-6300.

Andrews says paying bills online is also an easy solution to jump over the closure. If anybody is old fashioned and must hand-deliver their paperwork, a drop-box will be available at the front door as well.

Andrews also has been told anybody who runs out of toilet paper in the city should restrict their flushes.

And finally, the city council will be holding a meeting in city hall on Monday. Structured social distancing will be implemented and a limit of people will be let into the actual event.
