New Hampton vs Waverly-Shell Rock

The winless New Hampton Chickasaws run the page to week four of the 2018 high school football season.  But it doesn’t come any easier tonight. The Chickasaws are on the road at 3-0 Waverly-Shell Rock who is coming off a 7-0 win over Crestwood. Listen to the game…

Nashua-Plainfield vs West Fork

The 0-3 Nashua-Plainfield Huskies are looking for two things in week four, points and a win.  They will host 2-1 West Fork who’s coming off of a 35-25 road-win over Central Springs.

#3 Turkey Valley vs Springville

Third-ranked Turkey Valley looks to make it a perfect 4-0 this week hosting 3-1 Springville, who is coming off of a 56-point performance last week after downing Kee High 55-36.

Sumner-Fred vs MFL-Mar-Mac

Sumner-Fredericksburg is also spotless and try to make it 4-0 tonight.  The Cougars host MFL-Mar-Mac. They won in week 2 48-20 over Jesup and MFL-Mar-Mac is 2-1 on the year.

South Winneshiek vs Starmont

The 2-1 South Winneshiek Warriors look to notch their third win of the season tonight hosting Starmont.  Starmont is winless and only has scored six points in 2018. The Warriors lit up the scoreboard with 60 points last week.

North Faeyette Valley vs Denver

North Fayette Valley looks for their first win of the a season at Denver tonight.  The Tiger-Hawks haven’t had an easy three games facing Waverly-Shell Rock, Union and Sumner-Fredericksburg.  Denver is 0-3 after their week three stumble versus West Marshall.

Last night’s volleyball

South Winneshiek 3, Turkey Valley 0

Tukey Valley and South Winneshiek squared off on the volleyball court last night and the Warriors prevailed in straight sets.  In the loss, Kariss Schmidt mustered four kills and Katly Baumler and Jordan Lukes added three. The Trojans hit negative 0-17 last night.  Turkey Valley falls to 2-8 and South Winneshiek picks up their third win of the season.

Union 3, Sumner-Fred 1

The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars dropped a four-set math last night at Union.  Mariah Nuss led the Cougars with seven kills and Morgan Brandt and Jordan Burrows contributed five to the 29 kill performance. The Cougars are 6-9.

The weekend volleyball lineup

Winless Nashua-Plainfield hosts their tournament, which includes Rockford and South Winneshiek.

2-8 Turkey Valley travels to Waukon tomorrow for a tournament.

6-9 Sumner-Fredericksburg travels to Dike-New Hartford to participate in their tournament, which includes Charles City and Osage.

North Fayette Valley is in the Lisbon tournament tomorrow.
