951 The Bull Sports Report (6/21)

Mother Nature did quite a number on our local sports calendar last night.  The New Hampton Chickasaw Northeast Iowa Conference baseball double-header scheduled for last night in Waverly was postponed.  Both games will now be played in Waverly on Monday, June 25th.  The Chickasaw baseball team is scheduled to play at Jesup tonight.  New Hampton baseball is 18-3 overall this season and Jesup comes in at 9-5.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:30.

The New Hampton Chickasaw softball team also had their Northeast Iowa Conference double-header against Waverly postponed last night.  They will also make up that double-header on Monday, June 25th.  The New Hampton softball team will be at home for an NEIC double-header against Charles City tonight.  The Chickasaw softball team is 17-6 overall this season and they are 7-4 in the NEIC while the Comets come in at 24-2 and 11-1.  You can tune into both of these games right here on 951 The Bull tonight beginning with a pre-game at 5:15 and first pitch of the first game will be at 5:30.

Other local games on the schedule tonight include the Nashua-Plainfield Husky softball and baseball teams who will be at home for Top of Iowa Conference games against Saint Ansgar.  Nashua softball is 7-13 overall this season and 4-8 in conference games while the Saint softball team is 10-11 and 7-5 in the conference.  The Husky baseball team is 6-11 overall and 4-7 in the conference while the Saint Ansgar baseball team is 11-6 and 7-4 in the conference.  Both games will get started at 6pm.

The Turkey Valley Trojan softball team will be in Cresco tonight for a non-conference game against the Crestwood Cadets.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:30.

The Turkey Valley Trojan baseball team will host North Fayette Valley tonight in an Upper Iowa Conference double-header.  First pitch of the first game will be at 4pm.

The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougar baseball team will be in non-conference action at home tonight as they will host Clayton Ridge.  The Cougars are 5-12 this season while Clayton Ridge comes in at 3-14.  First pitch will be at about 5:30.

The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougar softball team will be at Clayton Ridge tonight for their non-conference game.  The Sumner-Fred softball team is 16-11 overall this season after their 3-2 win over Wapsie Valley last night and Clayton Ridge comes in at 5-16.  First pitch for this one will be at about 6pm.
