The New Hampton Chickasaw girls golf team was in Dike last night for their Class 2A Regional Golf Meet at Fox Ridge Golf Course. The Chickasaw girls were able to claim first place at the meet with a score of 341 team strokes which was 46 strokes better than second place Dike-New Hartford. Allison Nuss had a team low score of 77 which placed her second overall and Morgan Nuss had an 81 which was good enough for third individually. The Chickasaw girls now qualify for the Regional Final which will be held next Monday at the Garner Golf Club.
The New Hampton Chickasaw boys golf team was in Oelwein yesterday for the Northeast Iowa Conference golf meet. The Chickasaw boys finished in third overall as a team with a final total of 344. The Chickasaw boys will now focus their attention on the District Meet which will be held this Friday at Fox Ridge Golf Course in Dike.
The Nashua-Plainfield, Turkey Valley and South Winneshiek girls golf teams were teams were in Ossian yesterday for their Regional Golf Meet at Silver Springs Golf Course. South Winn took home first place on their home course by finishing with 407 team strokes and qualifying for the Regional Final. Nashua also qualified for the Regional Final as they earned second place as a team with a total score of 437. Jaden Schweinfus was the meet medalist with her round of 81 which was 14 strokes better than second place Morgan Moeller of Tripoli. Keagan Betsinger led Nashua with an 18-hole score of 104 which put her in fifth overall. Her teammate Miranda Crabtree had a 107 which put her in eighth overall. The Warriors and Huskies will compete in the State Qualifying Meet which will be held next Monday at the Nashua Town and Country Golf Course.
