The New Hampton Chickasaw girls and boys basketball teams were in Clear Lake last night for a couple of non-conference games against the Lions.  In the girls game, the third ranked Clear Lake girls took control of the game early and walked away with an 81-37 win.  The Chickasaw girls are now 8-5 overall this season.  In the boys game, Clear Lake came out with a fast start and led it 24-11 after the first quarter.  The Chickasaw boys made a run in the second quarter, but it was too much Clear Lake as the New Hampton boys fell 85-69.  Tyler Rentschler led four Chickasaws in double-figures as he had 19 points, Keegan John and Noah Fenske each had 11 points and Jake Zwanziger added 10.  The New Hampton boys are now 6-6 overall on the season.  The Chickasaw girls and boys will be back in action tonight as both teams will be in Charles City for a Northeast Iowa Conference double-header.  The girls game will tip-off first at about 6:15 and the boys game will follow.

The New Hampton Chickasaw wrestling team will be at home tonight for a non-conference double-dual.  The Chickasaw grapplers who are 20-2 in dual meets this season will welcome in both Center Point-Urbana and Union-LaPorte City.  You can tune into both matches tonight right here on 951 The Bull starting with a pre-meet at 6:45.

The Nashua-Plainfield girls and boys basketball teams will be at home tonight for a Top of Iowa Conference double-header against Rockford.  The Nashua girls are 1-11 overall this season and they are 0-8 in the conference while the Warrior girls are 2-10 and 2-7.  The Husky boys come into tonight’s game with an overall record of 6-5 and they are 4-4 in the conference while the Rockford boys are 9-3 and 6-2.  The girls game will tip-off at about 6:15 and the boys game will follow.

The Turkey Valley Trojan girls and boys basketball teams will be at home tonight for their Upper Iowa Conference match-ups with South Winneshiek.  The Trojan girls are 7-6 overall this season and they are 6-3 in the conference while the South Winn girls come in at 4-5 and 3-3.  The Turkey Valley boys have an overall record of 9-2 and they are a perfect 9-0 in the conference while the Warrior boys are 7-3 and 6-2.  The girls game will tip-off at about 6:15 and the boys game will start at about 7:30.

The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougar girls and boys basketball teams will be at home tonight for a North Iowa Cedar League double-header against Dike-New Hartford.  The Cougar girls are 9-1 overall and 8-1 with their only loss coming to the Wolverines who are 10-2 and 9-1.  The Sumner-Fred boys are in search of their first win of the season as they are 0-9 overall and 0-8 in the NICL while the Dike boys are 7-3 and 6-3.  The girls game will tip-off at about 6:15 with the boys game to follow.
