Charles City Police Respond to a Dog Bite, an Arrest and a Break In Attempt

Charles City, IA – Charles City Police responded to a few different incidents in Charles City on Monday and Tuesday this week.

The lone arrest on Monday took place in the 1500 block of South Grand Ave. 44-year-old Tracy Humbert of Charles City was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The arrest happened around 8:38 p.m.

An attempted break in was also reported to the CCPD at 10:34 a.m. on Tuesday. A storage shed in the 1400 block of Gilbert St. was the target. It was determined that the person responsible did not gain entry to the shed, but $30 in damage was done to the lock.

A dog bite sparked a call into the police department. The victim was taken to the Floyd County Medical Center. The bite happened at 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday in the 900 block of E St.
