The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougar boys basketball team was in Waukon last night for a non-conference game against the Indians.  The Cougar boys were over-matched by the bigger school and went down in defeat 91-44.  The Sumner-Fred boys fall to 0-2 overall this season and they will be back in action again tonight when they will take part in a North Iowa Cedar League girl/boy double-header at Hudson.

The New Hampton Chickasaw girls basketball team will be at home tonight for a Northeast Iowa Conference tilt against Charles City.  The Chickasaw girls come into tonight’s game with an overall record of 1-2 and they are 0-1 in the NEIC while the Comet girls are 0-3 overall and this will be their first conference game of the season.  You can tune into this game tonight right here on 951 The Bull starting with a pre-game at around 7:15 and tip-off is scheduled for 7:30.

The New Hampton Chickasaw boys basketball team will be in non conference action tonight as they will be on the road against North Tama Traer.  The Chickasaw boys are 1-1 overall this season while North Tama comes in at 0-2.  Tip-off for the Varsity game is scheduled to start at 7:30.

The Nashua-Plainfield girls and boys basketball teams will hit the road tonight for a Top of Iowa Conference double-header against Mason City Newman.  Nashua’s girls are 0-4 overall this season and they are 2-0 in the conference while the Knight girls are 2-2 and 1-1.  The Husky boys come into tonight’s game with a record of 2-1 overall and they are 1-1 in conference games while the Newman boys are 0-3 and 0-2.  The girls game will be played first at 6:15 and the boys game will follow.

The Turkey Valley Trojan girls and boys basketball teams will head to Clayton Ridge tonight for an Upper Iowa Conference double-header.  The Trojan girls are 3-1 overall this season and they are a perfect 2-0 in conference games while the Clayton Ridge girls come in with records of 1-4 and 1-2.  The Turkey Valley boys are 2-0 both overall and in conference play this season and Clayton Ridge’s boys are both 1-2 overall and in the conference.  The girls game will tip-off at around 6:15 and the boys game will start at about 7:30.

The South Winneshiek Warrior girls and boys basketball teams will host North Fayette Valley tonight in an Upper Iowa Conference girl/boy double-header.  The Warrior girls are 0-2 overall this season and they sit at 0-1 in conference play while North Fayette’s girls are 2-2 and 1-1.  The South Winn boys are 1-2 overall this season and they have a conference record of 1-1; the Tiger-Hawk boys are 2-0 in league play.  The girls game will get started at around 6:15 and the boys game will follow.
