In a game heard right here on 951 The Bull Friday night, The New Hampton Chickasaw football team was at home for their Class 2A first round playoff game against Dike-New Hartford.  The Chickasaws ran out to a 14-0 lead  in the second quarter, but the Wolverines would score a touchdown late in the first half to cut the Chickasaw lead to 14-6 at halftime.  The score would remain that way until late in the fourth quarter when Dike-New Hartford would tie things up at 14 with about three and a half minutes left in the game.  New Hampton would respond with a touchdown of their own with just over a minute remaining and they would hang on to the 21-14 victory.  Braydon Fisher was the workhorse for the Chickasaws as he rushed the ball 37 times for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  The other score for New Hampton came on a 14-yard TD pass from Keegan John to Noah Fenske.  With the win, the Chickasaws improve to 8-2 overall this season and they will get a second crack at Waukon this Friday night in the Class 2A Quarter-Finals.
