Rudd’s Haunted House Hits Quarter Century Mark

Rudd, IA – For the last 24 years, a haunted house in Rudd has done their best to scare the people who walk through it. The attraction will be opening up again this year for the 25th consecutive season.

The Rudd Haunted House has a legacy that is a quarter of a century long. Velda DeBuhr, Rudd Community Betterment Corporation, says what will all be happening at this years haunted house.

Those are put on by the Charles City and Rudd 4-H organizations.

DeBuhr says that roughly 1,700-2,000 people visit Rudd for this yearly. None of it is possible without the people who put it on, though.

The cost to enter is $7. There will be food available for people who are too intimidated to enter the haunted house. The house will be open on Oct. 20, 21, 27 and 28 from 6:30 to 11 p.m.
