951 The Bull Sports Report (9/29)

It’s hard to believe, but tonight is Week Six already of the Iowa High School Football season and our area teams have some big games this week as we head closer to playoff time.  The New Hampton Chickasaw football team will be on the road for the second straight week tonight as they will head to Cresco to take on the Crestwood Cadets.  The Chickasaws are 4-1 overall this season and they are unbeaten in Class 2A District 2 at 3-0 while Crestwood sits at 2-3 and 2-1.  You can tune into this game right here on 951 The Bull starting with a pre-game at 7pm and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30.

The Nashua-Plainfield Husky football team will be looking for their third win in a row as they get set for a Class A District 3 road game at West Fork.  The Huskies come in at 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the District while West Fork is 1-4 and 0-3.  Kickoff from Sheffield will be at 7pm.

The Turkey Valley Trojan football team will look to get back on track tonight as they will be in non-district action at home against Central Elkader.  The Trojans are 3-2 overall this season while Central comes in at 1-4.  Kickoff for this one is also scheduled for 7pm.

The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougar football team will be in a Class 1A District 2 match-up with Denver tonight on the road.  The Cougars are 2-3 overall this season and 2-1 in the District while the Cyclones are 4-1 and 3-0.  This game will also kickoff at 7pm.

The South Winneshiek Warrior football team will be in search of their third win in a row tonight as they will be on the road for a Class 1A District 2 game against Central Springs.  The Warriors are 2-3 overall and they come in with a District record of 2-1 while the Panthers come in at 3-2 and 2-1.  This game will begin at 7pm as well.
