Strong storms cause down limbs, power outages

Charles City, Iowa – An area of strong thunderstorms pounded the area yesterday evening, breaking limbs, bringing down lines and causing over 1,000 in the Charles City area to be left in the dark.

The storms rolled through at around 6pm which brought very strong winds and over 2 inches of rain. There were reports of limbs down, a trampoline wrapped around a tree and street flooding.

There were no reports of serious injuries.
