The South Winneshiek Warrior girls and boys track and field teams will compete in an indoor meet today.  The meet will be held at Wartburg College and the first event is scheduled to start at 3pm.

The Iowa High School Athletic Association began its boys State Basketball Tournament yesterday at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.  In the Class 1A Quarter-Finals, top-seed North Linn beat Maple Valley 54-49, Gladbrook-Reinbeck defeated Lynnville-Sully 53-50, Grand View got by West Hancock 59-36 and Saint Mary’s won over New London 59-52.  The Class 1A Semi-Finals will be played on Thursday.  There were also a couple of Class 2A Quarter-Finals yesterday, Western Christian beat South Hamilton 53-47 and Camanche defeated Cascade 58-48.  The other two Class 2A Quarter-Finals, which are Pella Christian vs. Van Meter and Carroll-Kuemper against Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, will be played today along with the Class 3A Quarter-Finals.  The Class 3A games consist of Waverly-Shell Rock vs. Atlantic, Cedar Rapids Xavier up against Mount Pleasant, West Delaware taking on Dallas Center-Grimes, and Pella vs. Sergeant Bluff-Luton.
