Charles City Forms New Water Sports Partnership

CHARLES CITY, IA – Last weekend heralded the launch of a new water sports business partnership in Charles City, just in time for White Water Weekend. The city currently owns the equipment which they are leasing to Land Locks Up and are looking into ways to assist in getting the business off the ground since the city sees it as a win win situation.  City Administrator Steve Diers says they are exploring different options including seeing what the city insurance will permit or possibly extending a development grant to help deal with insurance issues:

Ferrule Rose is the owner of Land Locks Up and says that safety for kids and adults is their number one priority, as well as having a good time:

They are starting with regular hours Thurs and Fri from 1 til 6 and Sat and Sun 11-6n and other times by appointment. The latest time to rent equipment is 6:00 to make sure everyone gets back in before sunset. The City plans turn everything over to Land Locks Up as soon as they are able to purchase the equipment from the City. For more information text or call Land Locks Up at 214-417-9017.
