2014 State Track & Field – Local Results

Des Moines, Ia – The State Track and Field Championships came to a close this weekend at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.

Here is a list of our area placewinners: Dallas Weiss placed fifth in the long jump and finished second in the 100 meter hurdles in Class 1A, Koltin Pfaffle from New Hampton placed eighth in the shot put in Class 2A, Ryan Izer from Turkey Valley finished third in the boys 3200 meter run and second in the 1600 meter run in Class 1A, the Turkey Valley girls 4×800 team of Stephanie Martin, Kirstin Huinker, Sadie Nymeyer and Shelby Reicks finished fourth in Class 1A, Megan Mooberry from Osage placed fourth in the Class 2A 3000 meter run, Charles City’s Jacob Day took fifth in the boys 3200 meter run in Class 3A, Natalie Halfman of Saint Ansgar finished second in the Class 2A girls 400 meter dash, 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash and 800 meter run, Haley Landers from North Butler placed second in the Class 2A discus throw, Chloe Reicks from Turkey Valley finished 5th in the same event, Sam Heimer from Saint Ansgar placed fourth in the Class 2A boys discus throw, the Nashua Plainfield 4×200 meter relay team of Jordan Scribner, Sharice Lindaland, Amber Carter and Briley Fisher placed seventh in Class 1A, New Hampton’s boys 4×200 meter relay team of Devin Hale, Cole McDonald, Trevor Ambrose, and Connor Frerichs placed seventh in Class 2A, Shelby Reicks of Turkey Valley finished fourth in the Class 1A girls 800 meter run, New Hampton’s girls Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of Michi Goodwin, Abbie Gossling, Maddie Miller, and Liz Laures finished in fifth place in Class 2A, the New Hampton boys Shuttle Hurdle team of Cole MacDonald, Connor Frerichs, Tanner Renchler, and Nathan Anderson finished sixth in Class 2A, Kyle Hanson from Saint Ansgar finished seventh in the boys 100 meter dash, and The New Hampton girls 4×100 meter relay team of Abby Gossling, Liz Laures, Michi Goodwin, and Darian Wagner finished seventh in Class 2A.
