Frisbie Okay After Accident

Stop Lights

CHARLES CITY- Those traveling in Charles City on Saturday might have noticed stop signs in place of traffic lights on Main Street. On Monday, Charles City School Board President Jim Frisbie says he had a reaction to medication he was taking and hit a traffic light pole which caused traffic lights to stop working.

Frisbie made light of rumors that were going around that he had a heart attack or stroke and assured everyone he was fine.

Charles City Police reported the accident occurring at 10:35am Saturday at the intersection of North Main and Riverside Drive. According to police, Frisbe struck the traffic light causing around $15,000 in damage.  He was transported to the Floyd County Medical Center for treatment.
